After having worked on several personal and school game projects for a few years, my internship at Fusion Interactive was my first time experiencing game development in an actual studio. Throughout my time there I've been involved in multiple projects, including Astro Chef.
As a design intern, my tasks would often consist of creating design documents for new features, as well as configuring them in-engine. These features included minigame concepts, dart behavior, modifier player feedback, control enhancements and more. I was also responsible for some UX-related tasks, as well as conducting user-testing for post-launch update content.
Over the course of my internship I have been taught a lot of new game design theory, especially in regards to VR design. I've also learned how to work in a team of professional game developers, using the company workflows in place. Below, some of my contributions to the project can be seen:
